AI Caddie ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Before any data is shared with our AI provider, the app asks for your explicit consent in-app and clearly describes what is sent and to whom. AI features do not function until you agree, and you can withdraw consent at any time from the app's Settings screen.

Information We Collect

• Golf data you enter: scores, putts, fairways hit, penalties, and club distances. This data is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
• Voice input: when you speak to the AI caddie, your speech is transcribed on-device using Apple's Speech Recognition framework. The resulting text (not audio) is sent to our server to generate a recommendation.
• App settings: preferences like dominant miss direction and text-to-speech speed are stored locally on your device.
• Purchase information: subscription status is managed by RevenueCat. We do not process or store payment information directly.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI caddie recommendations powered by Google Gemini.
• To manage your subscription status via RevenueCat.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Third-Party Services

• Google Gemini – processes caddie recommendation prompts. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat – manages in-app subscriptions. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Apple Speech Recognition – used for on-device voice transcription. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

We only share data with third parties that provide the same or equal protection of your data as set out in this policy. Google processes caddie prompts solely to generate a response under the protections described in Google's Privacy Policy; it does not use this data to train its models or for advertising, and the data is not retained after the response is returned.

Data Storage & Retention

All golf round data, scores, and settings are stored locally on your device using SQLite. We do not have access to this data. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes it.

Voice transcripts sent to our server are not retained after a response is returned.

Children's Privacy

AI Caddie is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do.
